COP 29: An Interview with Eamon Ryan

An interview with Eamon Ryan, Ireland's Minister for Environment, Climate, Communications, and Transport.

I recently had the opportunity to meet with Eamon Ryan, Ireland's Minister for Environment, Climate, Communications, and Transport, to discuss the critical outcomes needed from COP29 in Azerbaijan and the global strategy for advancing climate adaptation.

As a co-leader of the adaptation agenda at COP29, Minister Ryan plays a pivotal role in shaping the international response to climate change. Our conversation provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of addressing some of the world’s most urgent environmental issues.

A key takeaway from our discussion was the importance of fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors. Partnerships between governments and businesses have the potential to drive the innovation and investment needed for a sustainable transition to a renewable future.
